The Value Katana Mikazuki Munechika is a Japanese-inspired decorative katana based on the famous Mikazuki Munechika, one of Japan's renowned historic swords. With its traditional katana-style design, zinc-alloy blade, and distinctive red pear-coated wooden sheath, this piece is designed to capture the visual character of a classic Japanese sword.

Mikazuki Munechika is traditionally associated with Sanjo Munechika, a renowned swordsmith active during the mid-Heian period (794–1185). The sword is also well known through its appearance in the Touken Ranbu series, where Mikazuki Munechika is portrayed as a sword character.

This model is non-cutting and intended for decorative display and collection only. It is produced in Seki, Gifu Prefecture, a city with a long association with Japanese sword production.

Mikazuki Munechika

Mikazuki Munechika is traditionally regarded as one of Japan's five great swords. The sword is attributed to Sanjo Munechika, a master swordsmith who lived during the mid-Heian period, when Japanese sword-making techniques were developing.

Mikazuki Munechika has also gained modern popularity through Touken Ranbu, where the historic sword is represented as a character. This decorative katana draws inspiration from that famous sword and its enduring place in Japanese sword culture.

Japanese Katana Heritage

The katana is one of the most recognizable symbols of Japanese samurai culture. Once associated with the samurai of feudal Japan, Japanese swords have become enduring symbols of history, craftsmanship, and traditional Japanese culture.

The Value Katana Mikazuki Munechika recreates the visual character of this iconic sword style as a decorative collectible rather than a functional weapon.
