Seto knives are handcrafted in Seto Japan, the capitol of blade forgers. Japanese forgers go through many years of training, starting from a young age to perfect the art of creating and forming blades, whether it be for a knife or a katana. These knives are made with high quality Damascus steel, make it resilient to shattering, and allowing it to be sharpened to a refined edge. Damascus steel has a very distinct pattern of banding, and waves that imitate flowing water. The blades are also made with 33 layers of refined Damascus steel, making it stronger, and harder to break, also bringing out the waved pattern of the steel.
